25/05/21 Return to Training at Barry Town United
Duffers United Walking Football (DUWF) is pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with Barry Town United Barry Town United to enter two teams in the Wales Walking Football League using the name Barry Town United.
Barry Town United has agreed to provide new full match kit for the teams and we are pleased to announce that Damian Flynn has agreed to coach the teams each week at Jenner Park Barry.
Walking football training with Barry town United (BTU) resumed at Jenner Park Barry on Tuesday 25/05/21 and will take place every Tuesday from 6pm to 7pm .
All players registered with DUWF (and not registered with other clubs) are invited to attend training sessions at Jenner Park every Tuesday 6pm to 7pm with a view to playing in the two teams in the Wales Walking Football league and friendly competitions representing Barry Town United.
Players registered with DUWF (and not registered with other clubs) are also welcome to train at Jenner Park even if you consider that league football is not yet for you.
This is an exciting opportunity for us to train on an excellent pitch and to move the club forward and DUWF wishes to express its thanks to Barry Town United for their willingness to work with us in partnership to develop the DUWF/BTU relationship

DUWF are pleased to announce that training will resume on Monday 26/04/21 at 6pm to 7pm at Headlands School 2 St Augustines Road, Penarth, Cardiff, CF64 1YY and every Monday and Friday thereafter at 6pm.
The following attachment covers the rules that all players must adhere to to gain access to a DUWF training sessions. Please ensure you have read all of this information carefully BEFORE you attend a training session as failure to comply will result in access to training being refused.

Duffers United Walking Football is pleased to announce that Ritchie has been selected as Vice-Chairman of the Wales Walking Football Committee. This is another positive step for Duffers United Walking Football Club and the development of the club and a foot in the door at the top table of walking football in Wales

17/01/21 Healthy Living (Sports) Grant Award
Duffers United Walking Football are pleased to have received a grant from the Vale Sports & Play Letter to Santa through their Healthy Living (Sports) Sports and Play (valeofglamorgan.gov.uk)
The grant will be used to purchase much needed equipment and attendance at Referee and First Aid courses, which are essential for the club to move forward.
Vale Sports and Play are excited about working with the project in the Vale of Glamorgan to promote Walking Football for the Over 50’s and, before the end of 2021, the Over 60’s,
The longer term project is to also have an Over 70’s team competing in the Welsh National Walking Football League.
Duffers United Walking Football would like to say a big "Thank You" to Angela Stevens and her team in The Vale of Glamorgan for their assistance and continuing advice.
